Carr Lane Pools, Hale

Pectoral Sandpiper 1 adult
Dunlin 20
Black-tailed Godwit 20
Shelduck

Year 183 (Pec Sand)

Pectoral Sandpiper is just one of those birds, I can't explain why it's one of my favourites but it just is. Usually I see juveniles in autumn, but every now and then there is an adult in breeding plumage, and they are always extra special. A great bird!

I don't know what was wrong with this fox. but it was incredibly tame and looked ill. Perhaps it was just old age.
