Bits and bobs from North East Scotland

Crossbill 2
Cuckoo 2 (ad & juv.)
Stonechat 5

Reptiles: Common Lizard.

This impressive beast is an Emperor moth caterpillar. Its about 1.5 inches long.

I assume that this is an Elephant hawkmoth caterpillar, but it was only 1.5 inches long and I've never seen such a green looking specimen.

Juvenile cuckoo. It was with an adult.

Erica cinerea Bell Heather.

Erica tetralix Cross-leaved heath.

A white form of Erica tetralix.

Calluna vulgaris Ling.
